Finally a post with a story!
I put those babes for sleep! |
A post accompanied with a story finally!! Fever seems to make me talkative and creative. Intoxicated by
antibiotics, sprays etc, as I were, I made an effort to create a new candle. By
the way my first Christmas candle. The other day I was looking for ideas for
Christmas candles on the net. I bumped into a transparent one. I was impressed.
Since then I was thinking how I can make a candle like this. What am I able to
use for it? How would it be?
Yesterday, I saw that branch. I
chopped it into tiny branches and I put them in a vase. I thought to fill it
with some water. Then I added some pomegranate for contrast. I had green and
red. What colour I should use on the top, I thought. A light lemon-yellow would
match the best. When I got home, the grandpa was sleeping late as it was (only
21.30!). So, I had to work silently, as a thief in my own kitchen, cause
grandpa doesn’t like any of my “strange” activities. As he says kitchen is for
food. At the same time I was taking photos of the procedure for my next post, I
was coughing and I managed it. I burnt myself twice! AGAIN! Only fingers
fortunately. But I am so happy. This candle is exactly what I had in mind! I
‘ll give it to my professor, specialist and top in late byzantine history. When
you admire, you like someone you can’t act differently, but show it. Now the
mark is already given, so malicious people aren’t able to say what they were
supposed to say.
The same night I made another candle
only for personal use. There I could get rid of some small remnant pieces of
other old candles that I didn’t need anymore. I used all my useless stuff. The colour
isn’t so good. Nevertheless, it smells wonderful! I added extra rose flavor and
extra stearin in order to last for a long long time. I used I a big bowl and a
thick wick. I need some good companion among the endless hours of studying. The
flame is going to keep me company!
