For my Turkish friends
If you were studying Archaeology, you would say that this is a complex of candles. They are not connected, of course. But I intend to create a complex soon with one common motive. I didn't post them separated, because two of them have been already uploaded. That summer I made so many candles that I run out of ideas. These are just smaller than the old ones. The only new is the middle one. But I will refer on each one separated.
Of course, the first one was made for Gamze. It's a sweet turkish name and it means dimple. (I just found out what you meant. I didn't know in English "lakkaki". Even in Greek.. Lakkaki is in modern Greek, for daily life-if "slang" has only negative meaning-today I doubt about my English. Anyway, I looked up in a dictionary and you should introduce yourself as γελασινός/yelasinos, the tooth inside of lakkaki, of which lakkaki was named later. It's not ancient. It's modern Greek too, but not useful. We use lakkaki.) So, the red one was for Gamze, the most philhellene person that I know. I have to say that she speaks Greek really good, extremely good.. Almost like a Greek person!! Well done for your achievement and well done to your parents for your personality. You are a sister for sure.
The orange candle was for Kedik. Kedik is a nickname that I made up (still laughing remembering all this scene). It means hyperactive cat (for me). One night in a lovely beer house I said : "Well, turkish words that I know.. Let me think.. hmm.. I know köpek is dog, cat is kedik.." And... laughing.. "Why are you laughing? What did I say?" The real word is kedi of course. And it stuck since then as a nickname. I guess it was karma for my laughing of your mistake, Kedik, about "pro-i-ka"/furniture.
-Kedik : "Come on. You know it. It's Greek. What does it mean exactly?" I was thinking for over an hour what is "pro-i-ka" and what is "pro-i-ka".. "Wardrobe no, coach no, bed no." You are not good. You need practice too. [ο + ι = ι] unless these [ ϊ ] things.
I really miss those moments. And, please, think about "kedik".. Maybe you should change it. It's sounds better and it's easy to remember! köpek-kedik, köpek kedik..(of course I am kidding).
And the blue one.. For Gamze 2! I met two Gamze(gamzeler), because they go always together..!! :) There I needed some gelly paraffin. And I should have used wet sand, the shells that are contained 'd be more visible.
This post with love and missing from Greece!
Please make up a tittle. I can't think. :**
